The Pittsburgh Pirates were one of the most successful teams of the 1970's, winning the National League's Eastern Division six times and coming in 2nd place three times. During this decade, they won the World Series twice, culminating in the "We Are Family" 1979 team. These teams were especially known for there stacked line-up of both powerful and high-average hitters. After playing in Three Rivers Stadium for years, the Pirates now play in PNC Park.
