The Arizona Diamondbacks came into existence in 1998 as an expansion franchise, playing in the National League Western Division. They play in Bank One Ball Park in Phoenix. Unusual for a relatively short lived franchise, they have had uncommon post-season success, winning the World Series in just their fourth season (a record). In all, they have made four appearances in the post-season.
